Empowering the Next Generation: Nana Adwoa Asantewaa I Welcomes My First Day at School Learners Through Generous Donation

Easing the First Step into Education The transition into primary school is a monumental milestone for every child. It marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of discovery, growth, and empowerment. To make this day truly unforgettable and to ease the burden on parents, Nana Adwoa Asantewaa I stepped forward to put smiles on the faces of hundreds of fresh-faced Class 1 pupils within the Okuapeman enclave.
As part of the annual “My First Day at School” initiative, a special delegation was dispatched to neighboring basic schools to welcome the children into the formal education system. On behalf of Nana Adwoa Asantewaa I, the Assemblyman Honorable Safori Fiankor of the electoral area led the presentation, handing over the packages to the excited young learners and conveying her warmest wishes for the academic year.

Equipping Future Leaders Recognizing that a solid foundation is critical to academic success, the donation focused on providing practical, everyday tools that young learners need to thrive from day one.
The items distributed included Exercise books, pencils and sharpeners
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. By equipping these children today, we are securing a brighter tomorrow for Okuapeman.” — Nana Adwoa Asantewaa I

At each stop, headteachers, staff, and parents expressed immense gratitude for the timely intervention. Presenting the items, the Assemblyman Honorable Safori Fiankor emphasized Nana Adwoa Asantewaa I’s commitment to ensuring that financial barriers do not disrupt a child’s right to quality basic education. For many families, these supplies alleviate immediate financial pressure, ensuring every child starts their journey on equal footing.
Looking Ahead This benevolent gesture reaffirms Nana Adwoa Asantewaa I’s unwavering commitment to community development, leadership, and youth empowerment.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the local Assemblyman Honorable Safori Fiankor for his leadership in coordinating the presentations, and to the teachers, school administrators, and community volunteers who helped make the day a success. Together, we are laying the building blocks for a literate, confident, and prosperous generation.
