Nana Adwoa Asantewaa I and Okuapemhemea Nana Efua Nketia III Donate to Widows and Widowers
Standing Together with Our Community Elders Caring for the vulnerable, particularly those who have lost their life partners, is a foundational pillar of a strong and empathetic society. To ensure that the widows and widowers of Akropong Akuapem feel deeply valued and remembered, a special community support event was organized through a powerful royal collaboration.

Nana Adwoa Asantewaa I Okuapemhemea Nkosuohemea, working hand-in-hand with Nana Efua Nketia III Okuapemhemea, hosted a heartfelt gathering dedicated to uplifting the spirits of local widows and widowers through the gift of traditional cloth.
A Royal Delegation of Comfort The event was marked by a rich display of traditional authority and mutual respect. As captured, the Paramount Queen Mother, Nana Efua Nketia III, presided over the occasion in magnificent kente, with Nana Adwoa Asantewaa I elegantly seated at her left side.
They were surrounded by several revered traditional leaders and elders from the area, all unified under a shared mission of community philanthropy.
The principal items distributed during the gathering were:
High-quality traditional cloths, carefully selected to bring comfort, warmth, and dignity to the recipients.
A Call for Continuous Prayer and Support During the presentation, the Queen Mother, Nana Efua Nketia III, addressed the everyone gathered. In her brief yet moving remarks, she spoke affectionately about the challenges faced by widows and widowers, stressing that their welfare remains a top priority for traditional leadership. She also made a poignant request to the wider community.
“Keep our widows and widowers in your daily prayers. It is through these prayers and our collective unity that we gain the strength and resources to continue supporting them always.” — Nana Efua Nketia III Okuapemhemea
Hearts Filled with Gratitude The atmosphere was charged with emotion as the beneficiaries receive their their gifts. For many of the elderly and vulnerable community members, the gesture was a timely reminder that they are never forgotten by their traditional leaders.
